Austin New Music Workshop is dedicated to the production of brand new musicals! It all began with Fronterafest 2007 and Sisters of the Sea: A Pirate Musical, a 2007 Best of Fest winner. The writer and cast had so much fun we decided to submit another work for Fronterafest Long Fringe 2008. Devil in the Details: An Office Musical was a success, and the group decided we needed to take it to the next level.

Under the directorship of Rain Nox, Austin New Music Workshop was formed. In July of 2008 our first premiere musical Crazy Like a Person, won two awards as part of City Theatre's Summer Acts! Festival: Best Original Play/Playwright, and Best Male Featured Actor (Jim Felkner).  See Crazy Like a Person for pictures from the production.

In January of 2009 the group put on another brand new one act musical After School Special, which made it into the Hyde Park Theatre's Fronterafest Best of Fest.

Our next endeavor is a comedic drama called Home(less) Economics. See the Now Showing Page for details.
